finds2010 Wrap-Up

Thanks to all who made the trip to the Finili Developer Summit at Plymouth Meeting. Thanks also to the several people who sent in comments for discussion.

The two big take-aways from the event, in my opinion, were:

  1. The key importance of a simplified, streamlined language design was a theme in all of the working sessions. We were urged to find more ways to streamline and simplify the syntax.
  2. We may need better examples of some of the principles we are working toward. Both positive and negative examples are needed. For example, what is a good example of confusion in data handling caused by minimal labeling of a data element?
